Who owns the Basis balance sheet? It seems that Basis will maintain its own central supply of large amounts of currency in order to algorithmically influence the market price of the currency in the face of speculators and global economies. It seems that Basis will be able to create new currency out of an endless supply as needed.

Can this be abused to the benefit of Basis shareholders in the way that the owners of the Federal Reserve reap the benefit of lending artificially created new currency to the US Government through open-market operations?

Also, how is supply decreased without Basis purchasing circulating currency from existing owners using Fiat currency?

For people to believe in the morality and technical feasibility of Basis, you should proactively answer these types of questions.
